Dr. Pepper Scholarship

20 August, 2011 (15:29) | Dr. Pepper Scholarship | By: Carlo Evanson

Wouldn’t you like to be a Pepper too?  If it means getting a part of the $1million given away each year by Dr. Pepper, then why not?  But even if you can’t stomach Dr. Pepper, you are eligible to apply for the annual Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway Scholarship.

About the Dr. Pepper Scholarship

The annual Dr. Pepper Scholarship gives applicants over a million dollars in tuition money each year.  Winners receive $2,500 each towards their tuition and everyone has a chance to compete for up to $123,000 during the next year’s Conference Championship game.

The award amounts from this competition can be used at any accredited institution in the United States, and a check for the full amount will be sent to the institution chosen by the Winner.  A really cool feature of this competition is that award amounts can also be applied to existing educational loans.

What Do You Have to Do?

To enter the Dr. Pepper Scholarship Tuition Giveaway, you need to create a one minute video explaining why the prize money would be helpful to you in your career plans.  You must be the creator of the video (it cannot be photo shopped or adapted from other videos) and it must be 100% original.  Of course creativity is key, and the better your video, the better the chances of catching the judge’s eye.  So why not take a peek at the videos of last year’s winners and see about putting together one of your own?

Some Things to Keep in Mind

You do not have to drink Dr. Pepper or purchase Dr. Pepper products in order to win this amount, but you must be a legal resident of the United States and you must be between the ages of 18-24 and only one prize/award is given out per household.  Also, no one in your immediate family can work for Dr. Pepper or be the owner/operator or official purchaser for one of Dr. Pepper’s Sponsor products.  Also, for those going on to compete in the $123,000 scholarship competition, the applicant cannot be an active NCAA collegiate athlete in any division of any sport or have played professional, semi-professional or Division I collegiate football at any time.
